The principal consultant of Literacy of Belief LLC was my professor in college. He taught me academic writing during the fall semester of 2015. I remember his first day in class like it was yesterday. He lit up our classroom with one of his icebreaker questions, after which he requested for feedback. I told him that he did not just break the ice, that he shattered it. He helped my course mates and I to understand the importance of voice in the learning environment. He insisted that our views were essential and that his pedagogy would be inconsequential without our input. As such, he ensured our visibility and encouraged us to vocalize our points of view without fear. Four years later, he is treating me with the utmost respect of a colleague as his team, and I work to develop training materials for our engineering firm. What stands out for me is that members of his team mirror a similar level of integrity and academic rigor for which we know Dr. Ukwuoma.
